Bush’s failed foreign policy in N. Korea
This morning Fox news aired the live press conference held at the Whitehouse where President Bush announced a sweeping change in the direction of North Korea. Details and credit to Foxnews can be found here: www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,371927,00.html In short, North Korea has agreed to give up their Nuclear Weapons program, turn over all their weapons-grade Plutonium, and allow inspectors full access to all their facilities. The reports also indicate that they will blow one up on live international TV. The President will also be asking congress to life trade sanctions, and ask that North Korea no longer be listed as a hostile State.
This is good for the US. This is good for the people of North Korea, for they have been suffering, starving, and dying under an oppressive regime. While the regime is not immediately changing, their attitude is, and they will be able to receive aid, and engage in trade. Bottom line, the sunlight of freedom will start to shine in for them. It will be important over the next several years to engage North Korea in communication and trade so that they are influenced by the philosophy of freedom. Gradually over time they may become like South Korea, modern, free, and friends.
You may be asking, “how this is a failure?”. Well, it isn’t, it’s a success. The employment of sarcasm in this case is to illustrate the bias and failure of liberals politicians and the media.
First it is notable to mention what was going on in mainstream media when this press conference was airing this morning. One of my colleagues flipped through all the major networks, and not one of them was carrying this incredible news that holds distinct importance to our entire nation and indeed the world. Instead they were covering minor news stories, editorial pieces, and interviews with recreation experts regarding summer fun.
The next thing I would like to point out requires us to go into the ‘way-back’ machine. Four years ago, leftist presidential nominee John Kerry accused President Bush of ‘taking his eye off the ball’ with North Korea, and that they were becoming a bigger threat to the US. Of course Kerry being an insincere power-monger, would also say in the next breath that President Bush was also making too much ado about nothing with North Korea, and that the President was looking for an excuse to go to war. President Bush responded simple and true. He said that diplomacy was already at work, and that it takes time and patience for things to turn around. Today we have seen the Administration’s efforts, time, and patience come to fruition.
Brace yourself for how the liberals and their media pundits will try and down-play this. Keenly observe how they will try and fault-find things about this development. They will. Wait and see. And when they do just know how insincere they really are. Realize why they are like this. They do not care what is good for our country, and they do not care about you, no matter how much they say they do. They want to paint a dismal picture for you, claim they have the answer, and ask you to hand them power, your power to control your own destiny. In a word, they want to take away your freedom, and they will say, do, and mischaracterize anything and any one to achieve their goal. They want your power, to control your freedom, your destiny. The patterns are all there. Observe their behavior. It contradicts what they say. Don’t think so? Just check out the YouTube mock movie trailer below that illustrates how they work.
Also realize that even though a guy like Mr. Bush is not a very dynamic speaker, and is not perfect or always right, he says what he means, means what he says, and in the most sincere effort, gets the job done for the benefit of us all. Today’s development proves this.
